Springfield College Student-Athlete Leadership Team (S.A.L.T.) Humanics in Action Subcommittee Assists Our Neighbors
The Springfield College Student-Athlete Leadership Team (S.A.L.T.) Humanics in Action subcommittee partnered with the Center of Service and Leadership to assist at more than 30 community outreach service project sites on Oct. 16 and Oct. 23.

The Springfield College Student-Athlete Leadership Team (S.A.L.T.) Humanics in Action subcommittee partnered with the Center of Service and Leadership to assist at more than 30 community outreach service project sites on Oct. 16 and Oct. 23. This partnership allowed student-athletes and their teams the opportunity to serve our local community. From community clean-up sites, demolition projects to volunteering at local community festivals, our student-athletes are continuing to embody our Humanics mission here at Springfield College.
At Springfield College, our student-athletes remain committed to our College’s mission of service and leadership to others. One way this is possible is through S.A.L.T. This group is student-run, made up of representatives of our athletic teams on campus. The foundation of this group is to have a presence in the surrounding community, to become the national model for how student-athletes can make an impact outside of their competitive arenas.
Within S.A.L.T. there are five subcommittees. These subcommittees are Campus Engagement, Student-Athlete Enhancement, Team Impact, Humanics in Action, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
