Social Justice

Minor

Social change and social activism help move our society forward, and you can be a part of that progress. The social justice minor allows students to examine the causes and consequences of unjust social systems: the ideas that undergird such systems as well as the essential steps for positive change.

You’ll explore issues such as immigration, human rights, war, militarism, crime, feminism, race and racism, economic discrimination, gay and lesbian issues, ableism, globalization, feminism, and political disenfranchisement through the lense of multiple disciplines, including literature, philosophy, music, art, sociology, history, religion, and disability studies.
