Springfield College Once Again Partners with Team IMPACT

Springfield College is once again partnering with Team IMPACT as the baseball team officially adopted Blake Pierce, a 7-year-old with leukemia, for the upcoming season.  The announcement was made on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at a special "Draft Day" ceremony in the Flynn Campus Union. 

Team IMPACT is a non-profit organization designed to improve the quality of life for children facing chronic illnesses by matching these courageous kids with local college athletic teams. Team IMPACT children are drafted onto the team and become an official member of the team from Draft Day through to Graduation. The child joins the athletic team and the student athletes join the child’s support team.  This is the fourth separate occasion in which Springfield College has teamed with Team IMPACT as the softball team, football team, and women's volleyball have also participated in previous years. Read More...
